About Dr Pauline Manley &
New Moves Wellness

New Moves Wellness  is a holistic wellness program offering more than just exercise.

Founded by Dr Pauline Manley, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in teaching and performing dance and PhD in comparative movement practices, our centre is a sanctuary for those looking to rediscover joy through movement.

We offer a therapeutic approach that includes counselling, deeper self knowledge and general health improvement. It draws on many traditions and practices. It is a constantly developing program that provides you with the most effective way to enjoy living and ageing.

At New Move Wellness, we embrace the transformative power of dance for mature women, turning each step into a celebration of life and well-being.

Attending New Moves classes or consultations can bring you:

  • Weight loss
  • Improved strength and stamina
  • A more flexible and open and body
  • Pain management
  • Anatomical awareness
  • Inner peace
  • Happiness
  • Improved mental health
  • Stress reduction
  • Strategies for life problems like addictions and  low self esteem

New Moves creates a community in each class. We get to know each other.

Dr Pauline Manley supports you physically, emotionally and psychologically with credentials in counselling, life coaching, trauma informed and inclusive practice.

We embody equality, inclusion and kindness in a social enterprise that supports those who are disempowered or isolated.

About Dr Pauline Manley

I have been teaching and performing dance and movement for 30 years. I love it.

I am also a qualified life coach and holistic counsellor.

I want my life to be happy and peaceful and I want this for you too.

My teaching and counselling has been varied: professional dancers, university students, people with disability and mental health issues, mature women, carers, cultural groups, creatives, novices, nurses, corporates and those who just want to be well and happy.

I am a doctor of dance! I have a PhD in comparative movement practices and have spent my life researching the body. I use these research skills to ground New Moves classes in the latest science and ancient wisdom: where yoga can meet neuroscience.

I still perform and run a performance group It’s Still Germaine that supports feminist and social justice principles.

If you would like to get to know me a little better listen to this epsisode of #dontgiveafifty https://dontgiveafifty.com.au/dr-pauline-manely/

You will benefit from my years of study and can trust in my qualifications.
